Sega SG-1000 was Sega's first video gaming console. To keep the price low, Sega opted to create the platform from the popular, off-the-shelf components, such as 8-bit Zilog Z80 CPU, Texas Instruments TMS9918A video and the SN76489 sound processor. It was very similar, but not compatible with ColecoVision, and with RAM extension module (DahJee or Jumbo) it was able to play some games for MSX computers. SG-1000 was on the market for two years, and it sold quite well, but it made little impact on the video game industry. However, it served as the basis for the Sega Master System in 1986.

Around 70 official games were released for SG-1000, mostly made by Sega, but also a few games were ported from MSX computers, by companies at Taiwan. Unfortunately, Sega SG-1000 was never popular among homebrew game developers. Pantheon on the Web is a website, where you can find a great number of games for different video game consoles and home computers from the past, and play them. This is variation of Pantheon for the World Wide Web, which runs in web browser. You can play the games with keyboard and gamepad, so the games can't be played with mobile devices.
